CNA course requirements include:
- 2 Steps TB Test Results less than 1 year old
- Valid ID
- $ 725.00 tuition cost
- Pass math and English entrance exam or unofficial college transcript showing at least 30 credits
- Functioning email address
Due to COVID-19, WA DoH recommends the NAR pathway to NAC licensing which entails the following:
- Apply for NAR license - if you don't have SSN, contact obraregistry@dshs.wa.gov and ask for candidate ID number.
- Complete the online sessions offered by Excel Health Careers Training (EHCT) via ZOOM.
- Come for 4 days for in person skill practice and testing.
- Get a (paid) job using your NAR license and work a minimum of 40 hours - this job will substitute for your clinical training.
- Come to EHCT to do your written final exam. After passing, you get a certificate of completion. You can work as a CNA.
The above steps need not be taken sequentially; we actually advise you to complete the above steps concurrently.
NOTE: 3 days out 10 days of the first days extend by 2 hours.

To join our Home Care Aide/75 hours training, you need:
- Valid ID
- $ 575.00 tuition cost
- Pass math/English entrance exam
- Functioning email address
Our Home Care Aide/75 hours training contains the following:
- 4 - 5 days of theory online sessions offered/taught via ZOOM.
- 3 days of skill lab/inperson skill training.
- Mental Health and Dementia specialty training, Safety and Orientation training.
NOTE: The last day is a clinical day with different hours (6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.)
HCA to CNA bridging course requirements include:
- 2 Steps TB Test Results less than 1 year old
- Valid ID
- $ 535.00 tuition cost
- Valid/current HCA license
- Functioning email address

Priority is given to students who sign up to make reservations. Signing up allows us to anticipate and allocate materials needed.
- Need to complete heartcode BLS or heartcode Adult CPR/First Aid/AED before doing skill testing.
- E-cards delivered sent via email on Tuesday/Thursday.

- Need to have NAC, HCA, NAR with Core Basic or Core Basic certificate.
- If you are doing nurse delegation with emphasis on diabetes, you must have certification for nurse delegation core.
Keep your receipts carefully. Some or all of the trainings costs are reimbursable. Inquire around because some employers help with training costs upfront.
